Motor Diagnostics has been termed by the Motor Diagnostic and Motor Health
Study (August 2003) as:
"Tools, instruments and software applied to trend
or evaluate the condition of an electric motor’s electrical and mechanical
environment. This
definition will be used to cover all methods
of rotating machinery testing." (MDMH Study)
